In September and October, I went to the Monterey Jazz Festival with Karleen – a Lopez friend who had gone to the MJF with us before. Virginia and I had made it a 45 year tradition. Then I went to Albuquerque to visit a friend and see the Balloon Fiesta. After that I spent a few days in Chaco Canyon, and then traveled up thru the beautiful canyon lands of Utah.
In July, I went to Harrison Hot Springs with my LOWS group.
In June, my sister Virginia passed away after a year-long battle with cancer. I had not traveled for over a year during her illness.
September – October 2019
September – October: Traveled to Monterey and met Karleen Patrick there so we could go to the Monterey Jazz Festival. After the festival, she went on to her home in Santa Barbara, and I went to Albuquerque to visit a friend and go to the Balloon Fiesta – a bucket list item! After that I went to remote Chaco Canyon and on through Utah and made my way home.
